Sarah Finneran is BABCP accredited and the Director of the Sheffield CBT Practice. She is an experienced CBT therapist, EMDR practitioner and supervisor who has worked with a wide range of clinical disorders in both adults and children.
Since qualifying as a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist Sarah spent 3 years working in the NHS within a specialist OCD and PTSD/Anxiety Team and Personality Disorder Team before leaving to work full time in private practice. Whilst working in the NHS Sarah built up a specialism with treating individuals with Autism Spectrum and neurodevelopmental disorders and co-morbid OCD. This is something she continues to specialise in working with both children and adults.
Sarah has an extensive background in working with adults and children who have experienced trauma. Sarah has particular clinical interests in treating OCD, PTSD, phobia and panic.
Sarah also is a specialist in mental health, sexual and violent crime and disability and works for the Ministry of Justice as a tribunal member in these areas. She is a national trainer for the Ministry of Justice on mental health and the treatment of anxiety and affective disorders.
She spent years working as a probation officer specialising in grave and serious offenders and as a manager and trainer in domestic abuse. Sarah is an AXA approved therapist.
