Since qualifying in 2011, Ellie has been working in the NHS as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. She has a wealth of experience in working alongside people to help them to find ways through their suffering and reconnect with the things that are important to them. Her approach is centred around open listening and genuine collaboration so that you can find a way forward that works for you.
She has experience working with a range of different presentations, including; anxiety, PTSD, OCD, depression, psychosis and personality disorders. She recognises that it can be difficult to understand the causes of suffering at times. Therapy can help you to make sense of things and begin to make the changes that you want in life.
As well as being an accredited CBT therapist, She is also a trained practitioner in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This approach utilises mindfulness and acceptance-based practice and has an emphasis on creating a life that you value.
